AFFIRMATION OF BAPTISM

Welcome to LCGS Middle School Ministry! Our ministry is a vibrant community where 6th-8th grade students can deepen their faith in Jesus Christ, build authentic relationships, and have fun along the way. We recognize that these years are critical in shaping your child’s identity, and we are committed to equipping them with the biblical foundation and the tools they need to navigate the transition from childhood to adolescence.

Our Middle School Ministry curriculum is designed to cover three years of intentional learning that focuses on the following areas:

  1. Survey of the Bible: We explore some of the major teachings of the Old and New Testament, helping your child to understand the grand narrative of Scripture and how it applies to their life.

  2. Apologetics: In this year, we teach your child to look at the scientific, historical, and archeological evidence and answer the question, “Does God Exist?” We equip them with the skills to defend their faith in a culture that challenges their beliefs.

  3. Luther’s Small Catechism: In this year, we expose your child to Lutheran Theology and help them understand the significance of sacraments such as baptism and Communion, the Lord’s Prayer, the Ten Commandments, and much more.

Our heart is to see Middle School Students have powerful encounters with Jesus that set their lives on a trajectory of growth in their passion for Him. We believe that these crucial years of development and growth should be filled with age-specific teaching, empowering your student to make their faith their own. Our goal is to support and prepare them throughout their journey, so that at the end of the rigorous three-year affirmation of baptism curriculum, they will wholeheartedly acknowledge Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

Our Middle School Ministry is led by a team of dedicated leaders who are passionate about walking alongside your child in their faith journey. We provide a safe and welcoming environment where students can build lasting friendships and engage with the Bible in a relevant and meaningful way.

We invite your child to join us at LCGS Middle School Ministry and be a part of our vibrant community of believers. Let’s walk together as we grow in our love for Jesus and each other.

    ENCOUNTER

Looking for a place where you can grow in your faith, find community, and make a difference in the world? Look no further than LCGS High School Ministry. Our ministry is designed to help 9th-12th graders encounter Jesus in a powerful way and equip them to live out their faith in today’s culture.

We understand that high school can be a challenging time, with pressures and temptations coming from all directions. That’s why we’re committed to creating a safe and supportive environment where students can ask tough questions, explore their faith, and receive guidance from leaders who care about them.

Through engaging worship, dynamic teaching, prayer ministry, serving opportunities, and interactive small groups, students will be encouraged to reflect Jesus and his love for all people. Our goal is not just to teach them facts about their faith, but to help them develop a personal relationship with God that will guide them throughout their lives.

Our ministry is not just about knowledge, but also about action. We want to challenge students to live out their faith in tangible ways, making a difference in their schools, families, and communities. Our hope is that by the time they leave our High School Ministry, they will have a toolbox filled with practical tools to help them withstand the cultural pressures that seek to undermine their faith.

Join us as we seek to be people who find our identity in Jesus and are empowered by the Holy Spirit to make a real impact in the world. We can’t wait to meet you and see all that God has in store for you.

      MILE MARKERS FOR STUDENTS

At LCGS, we recognize that a student’s faith journey is full of important mile markers that are significant in their personal walk with Jesus. As a church, we believe that supporting them through these milestones is crucial to their spiritual growth.

      • Retreats are a great opportunity for students to take a step back from the busyness of life and focus on their relationship with God. Our retreats are designed to be a time of refreshing, where students can encounter the Holy Spirit and be encouraged in their faith.
      • Mission trips are also an important part of a student’s faith journey. These trips provide an opportunity to serve others, experience different cultures, and share the love of Christ. Our mission trips are designed to challenge students to step out of their comfort zones and grow in their faith as they see God at work in new ways.
      • As High School seniors prepare to graduate and move on to the next chapter of their lives, we believe it’s important to acknowledge and celebrate this pivotal moment. Our graduation celebrations are a time to recognize and honor our seniors, and to pray for them as they embark on new adventures.

We believe that these milestones are not just events, but opportunities for students to grow in their relationship with God and deepen their faith. At LCGS, we are committed to supporting and encouraging students as they journey through life and grow in their walk with Jesus.

A SPACE TO BELONG. A PLACE TO BREATHE.

      High school is a lot.

Sometimes you just need a place to land.

Every Tuesday from 3:30–6:00 PM, our Youth Room is open to all high school students looking for a safe, welcoming space after school. Whether you need help with homework, want to hang with friends, or just need a low-pressure environment to reset before heading home — this space is for you.

      What You’ll Find:

      • A safe, supervised environment
      • Adult leaders who genuinely care
      • Homework help and study space
      • Free snacks and drinks
      • Games, conversation, and room to just be yourself
      • A positive atmosphere where everyone is respected

No pressure. No weird vibes. No expectations other than respect.

Just a community that wants you to know you matter.

      WANT TO STAY LONGER?

At 6:30 PM, our weekly High School Youth Group kicks off — and you’re always invited to stay.

We start with dinner together, followed by games, real conversations, and practical messages about faith and life that actually connect to what students are facing.

      If you’re curious, stay.
If you’re not ready, that’s okay too.

There’s never pressure to participate beyond what you’re comfortable with. You can check it out at your own pace.

Youth Group runs from 6:30–8:00 PM.
