Adult Life Groups

Adult Life Groups are where we do life together! These smaller groups are an essential part of helping everyone connect at LCGS and grow in faith together.

ALGs meet to study God’s Word, pray, enjoy fellowship, and share the joys and challenges of life. This is where we develop lasting friendships and build a community that stretches far beyond Sundays.

There are lots of options! Feel free to visit as many ALGs as you like. Find the best fit for you — newcomers are always welcome!

Sunday Bible Study

We are a community of believers who deeply cherish God’s Word and are committed to growing in our knowledge and understanding of it. We believe that studying Scripture strengthens our faith, deepens our relationship with God, and equips us to live out His truth in our daily lives.

James 4:8 reminds us, “Come near to God and He will come near to you.” As we draw closer to Him through His Word, we experience His presence, guidance, and transformation in our lives. Our study approach is verse-by-verse exploration of different books in the Bible, both from the Old and New Testaments. This method allows us to uncover the richness of God’s teachings, see the connections between His promises and their fulfillment, and apply His truth to our personal journeys.

Whether you are new to Bible study or have been engaging with Scripture for years, you are welcome here. We invite you to join us as we seek to grow in faith, encourage one another, and walk more closely with our Lord.

SUNDAYS | 12:15 pm | MELE House

Topical Studies for Adults

Our group welcomes all adults, regardless of age, gender, or family status. Whether you are new to studying the Bible or have been on this journey for years, you’ll find a place to connect, learn, and grow in your faith.

In the past, we have explored topics such as the history of the apostles’ journeys after Jesus ascended, the Great Commission given in the book of Acts, and the diverse Spiritual Gifts that equip us for God’s work. Each discussion is rooted in Scripture and designed to deepen our understanding of God’s Word while encouraging meaningful conversations and personal reflection.

We invite you to join us as we seek to grow in our walk with the Lord, support one another in faith, and live out His calling in our daily lives.

Sundays | 11:45am

Ephesians Six Parent Group

We are parents of children, birth through the teenage years, who offer each other support as we navigate the stages of parenting. We strive to grow in our faith and parenting journeys through Bible study and fellowship. Our group is founded on Ephesians 6:1-4 which says, “Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. ‘Honor your father and mother’—which is the first commandment with a promise—so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy a long life on the earth. Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.”

We meet Sundays after church. All parents are invited to join us.

Contact Kristen and Carlos Anwandter for more information.

Alive in Him

The Alive in Him small group gathers every Sunday after the 10 a.m. service in the Prayer Chapel for a meaningful time of fellowship and Bible study. This group is dedicated to journeying through the entire Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, over the course of the year, following a structured “Read the Bible in a Year” plan. Each session provides an opportunity to dive deeply into God’s Word, discuss its relevance in our lives today, and grow in faith alongside a supportive community of believers.

If you’re seeking a group that will help you gain a comprehensive understanding of Scripture while building relationships with others who share a love for God’s Word, Alive in Him is the perfect place for you! All are welcome to join us on this transformative journey.

Monday Night Alive From Uganda

We come together to study God’s Word with the goal of building a solid foundation for our faith and deepening our relationship with Him. Our studies are designed to be engaging, thought-provoking, and practical, equipping us to live out biblical truths in our daily lives.

To guide our discussions, we utilize video studies from RightNow Media, focusing on different books of the Bible. These studies provide rich, insightful teaching and help us apply Scripture in meaningful ways. Our format is discussion-based, allowing us to ask questions, share perspectives, and encourage one another in our spiritual journeys. In addition to studying God’s Word, we also emphasize the importance of prayer, fostering a strong and vibrant prayer life as we seek to hear from God and grow in faith together.

We would love for you to fellowship, learn, and grow with us as we explore Scripture and support one another. Whether you are new to Bible study or looking for a community of believers to grow with, you are welcome here!

If you are interested in joining our group or would like more information, please email Michael De La Rocha for Zoom meeting details or any questions you may have. We look forward to studying and seeking the Lord together!

TUESDAYS | 7:00pm | LCGS Sanctuary

Tuesday Evening Bible Study

Pastors Paul and Renee Spaulding lead a dynamic and in-depth Bible study every Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 PM in the sanctuary. This time is designed to foster a sense of fellowship, learning, and spiritual growth as we come together to explore God’s Word. Each season, we embark on a new study that brings fresh insights and perspectives—whether it’s a deep dive into a specific book of the Bible, or an exploration of key biblical themes, principles, and how they relate to our lives today.

Each Bible study session is an opportunity to engage in meaningful conversation, share personal reflections, and learn how to practically apply the Scriptures to our everyday lives. No matter what the study topic may be, we strive to make it a time of spiritual nourishment that strengthens our understanding of God’s Word and helps us grow in our faith together.

We take a break during the summer months to rest and recharge, but we are always excited to resume our study in the fall. It’s a time for renewed focus and a fresh opportunity to dig deeper into Scripture and strengthen our connection with God. Whether you’re new to Bible study or have been studying for many years, we invite you to join us for this enriching and encouraging time together. Our Bible study is open to all, and we welcome anyone who is seeking to grow in their faith and understanding of God’s Word.

Phase2 Parenting

We are a group of parents of adult children (at least one child 18 or older) who offer each other love and support as we navigate this “next phase” of parenting where our children either are or are becoming “adults”. Our group uses various books and other media to guide our bi-weekly discussions on how to be loving, Christian parents as our children explore their own adulthood – whether they still live with us, are out on their own, are single or married, are thinking about having their own children or already have them, and everything in between.

Some of us participate with our spouses and others do not; some of us have many kids and some of us just have one. Come join us as we explore and support each other in Phase2 Parenting!

TUESDAYS | 6:30PM

Rooted in Scripture

We are a diverse and welcoming group united by our love for God’s Word and our commitment to supporting one another in faith. Our goal is not only to grow in our knowledge of Scripture but also to apply biblical principles to our daily lives, walking step-by-step with Jesus in everything we do.

In addition to studying the Bible, we value deep and meaningful fellowship, encouraging one another through prayer, discussion, and shared experiences. We also actively seek opportunities to serve the Lord together, putting our faith into action through acts of kindness, outreach, and community involvement.

Whether you are new to Bible study or have been walking with the Lord for years, you are welcome here. If you would like to join our group or need more information, please contact Marc Lilien—we would love to have you be part of our journey of faith!

Growing Together

Our small group comes together regularly to delve deeper into God’s Word, creating a space for meaningful discussion and spiritual growth. Through our time spent in study and reflection, we seek to understand Scripture more fully and apply its teachings to our lives. We believe that by sharing our insights, experiences, and questions, we can all draw closer to God and strengthen our connection with one another.

In addition to our Bible study, we also prioritize prayer as an essential part of our time together. We uplift and support each other by praying for one another’s needs, offering encouragement, and standing in faith through the joys and challenges of life. Whether we’re celebrating victories or navigating difficulties, we are there for each other, providing comfort and strength in the name of Jesus.

Our group is a place where all are welcome—no matter where you are on your faith journey. We believe that growth happens in community, and we invite you to join us as we explore God’s Word and grow together in faith. Come and experience the warmth of a loving, supportive group, where we encourage one another and build deeper connections with the Lord and with each other.
